Some brief details on the major parks are included under the various headings below. Also featured are some of the accommodations available. In many cases there is a choice of several lodges and permanent tented camps. The lodges and camps used by Pollman's are all of a good standard, but some are really luxurious and exclusive, and these are naturally rather more expensive. In general, permanent tented camps are in the luxury category and are more expensive than the lodges in similar locations. Most safaris will include visits to at least three of the parks on this list and longer safaris will include more. Custom safaris can be arranged with any itinerary but remember that the distances between parks can be great and many roads are in poor condition, so it is advisable not to fit in too many destinations into one itinerary. Our set itinerary selections are well- paced and balance variety with comfort. Please consult our sales staff on the practicalities of custom itineraries, and remember that light plane flights are available to many parks, often cutting out several hours of tiring driving. |
